In Memory of Patsy Turner
The radiance which was once so bright is forever taken from our sight. Though nothing can bring back the hours of joy and friendship we will grieve not, rather find strength in our memories - The flower that smells the sweetest is so much to miss, and so much to remember.
Patsy passed away on September 21, 2016. She was an active and passionate member of our Kershaw County Master Gardeners Association (KCMGA) and a dear friend to all of us. She gave her time to the KCMGA and community in many ways. In 2003 she was awarded the Midlands Gardener of the Year for her volunteer work and remained active in organizing and supporting numerous community gardening events including the annual plant sale and the memorial garden. She was passionate about education and gave her time freely giving monthly talks about gardening at the Camden Public Library and offering gardening advice to the public from our booth at the Camden farmers market. We shall plant a flower in our Memorial Garden for Patsy – and we will think of her often.
